i have not posted in forever!!!
so short update: happy for summer, internship at nsu-optic physics and europium studies, found out research life isnt really for me, butgettin PAID, new apartment with ariel this fall <3, taking 5 classes this fall, 3 of which have labs-2 of which are three hours LONG. AHHHHHH, figured myself out for the most part, cleaning the house -its a summer long project-clutter,goodwill etc., family visits, fishing/chillin trip with aleks' family this weekend, goin to see my dad next weekend....should be working
buuuuuut
i figured out that i think i wanna get a phD and teach,..like be a professor. or a mentor or something . i love helping people...i like to make a difference in peoples' lives..let me just get through undergrad first and see haha

i really hate dorms ! ive said it before i know...but im really frustrated and sad abotu things...(might be silly things im not even sure) but i cant even cry and its exploding inside me it feels liek bc i have a roommate. WTF NO PRIVACY i really really hate it. really ...i want to cry so bad i have a headache and i cant bc its freaking awkward to randomly cry in front of my roommate. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HELP ME PLEASE SUMMER. :( :(

BRING IT last half of semester...for the record i will no longer be taking twenty credit hours in following semesters. i only got away with it this time (if i even do get awy with it) bc they are mostly entry level classes...
cant wait til summmaaaa...stayin in VB ..hopefully ms greber will give me a job to help with the band that wouldbe SO fun! plus a summer class but w/e no big deal.
2 more months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOOOOD day for grades (FINALLY) A on multivariable test and B for physics test WOO
going snowbaording tomorrow with my russian...cannot waaait ...but i need to get through another test before that tomorrow...
oh and spring break wil be lovely too....get to see my best friends and chill with mommy...couldnt be more perfect. <3

i went to the smithsonian for the first time EVER this weekend with geology club...it was soo much fun agh im going back several times definitely! pictures are on fb if you interested hahaha
so many fun things coming up!
-sarahs bday ! goin home for that one!
-two years! wow ive been with that boy for a longgg time
-next geology club trip!!!!!
-spring break
-field observation field trips..i love running around with a geological hammer and a hand lense but the only problem is itll be every saturday after sprign break from 8-5pm. SUCK. but whatever still excited for field work!
-WARM WEATHER I MISS MY DRESSES
then eventually itll be summer time and I cant wait. i hope i have an internship! AND in the beginning of august me and ariel move in our awesome house. <3 thats EXTREMELY CLOSE TO CAMPUS. yesss oakbridge. =)

WTF PEOPLE REALLY FREAKING SUCK.
murder on vt campus happened like 30 minutes ago! sorta close to my dorm too! if itd anyone i know im going to flip out its disturbing and heartbreaking enough that someone just lost their life ! !! ahhh! i hate incidents i hate violence and i HATE that it happens in completely unethical places like a higher learning institute where people come to better themselves! (i know it happens everywhere but still!)

what a real downer ....
PLUS this isnt even the first time... i cant even comprehend the emotional damage done from april 16th if i had been at tech. its hard to hear even when it happens somewhere across the country.

NEXT semester is so busy...i will outline!
classes- english,
-chemistry
-chem lab
-earth life through times
-lab for that
-physics
-physics lab
- field observation
- multivariable (i might have to drop if i cant handle the amount of clases)
but as of now 20 credit hours..i did do it to myself so im not mad (bc double major) but im just a little nervous about it!!
activities-geology club! we're going on sweet trips like the smithsonian!! ahhhh! so excited
independent study with grad student..kind of by accident bc i misread and read summer but it was actually spring..but i can do it bc its once a month for like 2 days and several hours each day so not so bad ..good opportunity..plus its in a cave!!! (and lab titrations...fun but oh well)
i have my work cut out for me...i feel like this is gonna be a test of my time management. its gotton better but well see. haha..
i should prolly study a little more for my chem lab final...its in 45 min! haha
btw...good luck everyone on finals!!!!

i canNOT wait for next year with the apartment situation!!!! i know its a lot of extra money with bills but im preparing for that...its just gonna be soooo much better.
I need my own space. i want a room BY MYSELF. haha i just want to be able to relax judgement-free like if i wanna lay all over the floor id be able to do it! esp. with the roommate situation...were not exactly .friends. one majoorrrr conflict like ruined my comfort.its not that bad at all but it still sucks. mabe its just getting to me bc i want my own space in general
i want to be able to take a bath!!! thats how i unwind at home and it was really important to my relaxation and tranquility as dumb as that sounds
i do not have any desire to live in the same building with all girls ever . again.
im conviced that one of those little hoes stole my favorite shirt right out of the dryer/washer...bc it was there when i put it INTO the machien but when i went to retrieve it ....GONE. WTF. and i was crazy to think i should stay with my laundry i was getting stuff doen TH E WHOLE TIME it was in there...goshhhh and now im gonna HAVE to sit with it.
yea im being very whiny about this...bc i really think that ive had bad luck with the dorm situation this semester and was by no means a welcoming mat to tech. there has never really been a legitmate time where ive been glad im in a dorm. its just really not for me. =/
yea. guess who cant wait to go home hahahah

i really wish tech felt more like home to me.
theres been more than a lot of drama with my roommate so i dont feel right going in my room now..and if i cant feel right in my room what is going to feel lke home to me? wheres a place to unwind and relax?
ive been dealing with a lot of emotional issues lately about self esteem and just my overall wellbeing and its so affecting my school work..im really nervous about my grades bc i didnt do so well on practically all of my first exams..
im really just not happy here right now..
im so sick of being that person thats always having trouble..and always seems to be in midst of drama ..im so frustrated bc i try so hard to be a good person but its still backfiring on me..
what am i going to dooo

i love my major...today in geology we watched a video on volcanos SO AWESOME. i love it =)

so i never update anymore...
i dont know why haha
but this semester has really gotton off to an..off start. its been super hard adjusting..i actually started counseling for it ...a bunch of emotional drama that i just wish i could get rid of faster than i can .its not worth going into..
classes are waaaay busy...chemistry is the most annoying subject everrrrr bc it takes SO long..its not even hard its just....annoying bc it tricks me sometimes and there are SOOO many rules... and my entry level physical geology class... hes just now starting to teach about the earth now...the whole 5 or so lectures hes talked about the scientific method,..."what is science and why do i have to take it?" arrrgg for all the majors that just need a credit and its the easiest one...i think ill like my major a lot more next semester and after ... the other classes are pretty ok too...
im going to see meghan next weekend!!!
and going to see ocean lakes band the weekend afterr!! YESS (cory i was gonna drive seperately bc im taking aleks and possibly his brother too so you dont have to worry about me if youre still going!)
yea i need to be doing something else ...live journal is a good procrastinator!

ORIENTATION POST
yesss
omgoodness it was soo fun
but first..on the way to tech..we saw this hicktown gas station except it was....NO LIES
...a gasstation and dairy queen and casino and shower area and post office and food mart and gift shop.
wow. i went crazy when we went in there..i was like WOAAAAHHH
anyways i have SO much to say about orientation..basically ive turned into a cory clone! haha =)
soo first night was from.. 8am to midnight
FIRST DAY-
got a free shirt and book
-went and got my hokie passport .my picture looks gay
-went to a bunch of interest booths ..cool stuff..lots of papers..i got 7 pens! hahaha
-opening session! sooo cooooollll i loved it !
-met and hung out with my orientation leader.>OMG HES SO COOL .AHHH his name was ryan..hes from kenya so his accent was exactly like nnenna's from americas next top model...if you watch it... he was SO funny , sarcastic, helpful...amazing. he made me feel so welcome..and he was 6'6 CRAZY TALLL hahah
-sexual harrassment and substance abuse skits/lecture... explains itself really
-dinner/hangout/move in!
-more time with orientation leader...we went to a hokie community meeting with him..saw a video about katrina and hokies helping ..it touched my heart i almost cried... then we talked with ryan about stereotypes and homosexuality and what it means to be a hokie... (people in my group actually thought being gay was a choice..i had to voice my opinion..i was like 'why would they go through all that oppression if they could avoid it by choosing to be straight' its just interesting to me what some people think)
-break room and pizza...i played ddr with this amazingly good kid..got tired..people were impressed with my abilities..he kepy playing although he was "sooo tiredddd" haha i think he got a big head from the ddr crowd cheering him on..he deserved it tho =)
-bed timeeeeee...my roommate did NOT wanna talk to me haha such a weird vibe..and i left her a note before saying cute things like HEY i guess ill meet you for real later but i didnt wanna claim any bed yet..she was like 'yea saw your note..mom said to write back..but i figured id see you anyway' hah whatever.
DAY TWO-
-class registrationn!!!!!! omg my department advisor connie lowe is so amazing..
the first things she said to us was that we can come to her any time for ANYTHING ..like rommate issues emotional issues..class of course..and that shes gonna feed us anytime we want..that shes gonna be our mom away from home..that if we have no where to go we can chill in Darring Hall lounge room anytime we want. ..that her name isnt Mrs. Lowe..its Connie.. awwwww so sweet i felt so welcome..
-AND WE ONLY HAVE 12 GEOSCIENCE FRESHMEN hHAHAHA thats so awesome
-my schedules gettin fixed...connies gonna email me back so yaaay and i found out i got credit for NOT ONLY GOV BUT PHYSICS TOO...that MEANS I GOT AT LEAST A THREE ON BOTH YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
im so happy right now..i CANNOT WAIT FOR TECH..>CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT...i LOVE my major LOVE LOVE LOVE...my departments so nice and down to earth...GOSHHH CANT WAITTTTTTTT
